Sydney music group the Urban Gypsies are an instrumental Jazz/Latin/contemporary band. The Urban Gypsies represent an exciting direction in Latin / Jazz mixed with world music influences.

The music varies from fiery guitar virtuosity through to lounge Bossa Nova. The Urban Gypsies have been performing for 15 years playing at numerous weddings, events, festivals and clubs. They have supported Buena Vista Social Club, Cassandra Wilson, and many more… The band have held residencies and concerts in exclusive Sydney venues including The Basement, The Vanguard, Venue 505, Camelot, Cafe Sydney, Side on Cafe, Merivale, Riverside Theatre, and the Seymour Centre. They have released three Albums to date. Gypsy Fever 2000, Sauvage 2003 and Beautiful Catastrophe 2009. The fourth Album is due for release in 2013/14 “Samsara”.

Available in solo, duo, trio and 4 piece formats for weddings, corporate events, private functions, cocktail functions and special occasions.
